ABC News claims that Palin confirmed her ambitions to run at the top of the ticket in 2012. What do you think?
Sarah Palin Vows to Remain Player in 2012: 'Not Doing This For Naught'

Gov. Sarah Palin suggested that if the Republican ticket is defeated on Tuesday she expects to be a player in the next election four years from now, saying "I'm not doing this for naught."

Sarah Palin tells ABC News' Elizabeth Vargas that she will be a player in 2012, that she's "not doing this for naught."
In an interview with ABC News' Elizabeth Vargas, the Republican vice-presidential nominee was asked about 2012, whether she was discouraged by the daily attacks on the campaign trail, and would instead pack it in and return to her home state of Alaska.
"I think that, if I were to give up and wave a white flag of surrender against some of the political shots that we've taken, that would bring this whole … I'm not doing this for naught," Palin said.
Palin said she believed in the current GOP ticket and that she was "thinking that it's going to go our way on Tuesday, Nov. 4. I truly believe that the wisdom of the people will be revealed on that day," she said.
But with less than a week before Election Day, her comments may add to reported feelings within the McCain campaign that as the Republicans trail in the polls Palin has looked to boost her own political fortunes rather than fully support McCain's bid for the presidency.
Some sources within the campaign have suggested that Palin's series of public statements that differ from McCain and seem to come as a surprise to the campaign are evidence of her "going rogue."
The Alaska governor has said publicly that the campaign should have continued to fight in Michigan after McCain pulled out of the race there and she condemned the use of negative robocalls, even when McCain publicly approved of them.

Finally, finally! Finally the Dems are organized and the Pubs are the ones who can't get it together. For once!
1After you've tasted the power, there ain't no giving it up.
2Good luck with that one, idiot.
3I'm surprised she even knows the word 'naught'! Haha.
4It's probably because Alaskan vocabulary hasn't caught up to the rest of the modern world, which now uses "nothing" more!
5The Brits use naught far more than we do. I haven't heard that word is years.
6GROSS.
7When the pundits say that she is the new face of the Republican party and that she is making plans for 2012, I cringe. I just can't believe that this is what the Republican party has come to. Sad.
8kas--I was talking to my bf about that last night. He agrees that it's sad, since he was brougt up in a pretty conservative (and military) household. He thinks it's sad that the Republican party has, in his words, been reduced to a bunch of neo-cons who could ever take someone like Palin seriously.
